"BIFF" or the Bristol F2 Fighter was a two seat fighter and reconnaissance bi-plane used by the Royal Flying Corps from 1917 and then by 1918 the Royal Air Force had over 1500 F2Bs in service

Later in the war the aircraft found its true role when up against the Luftwaffe's FW 190 and when armed with 20mm Hispano auto cannons it became a formidable ground attack aircraft

When the RN retired the Buccaneer in 1978
