At least I think it is a seal; it is possible it is a sea lion, or even a tusk less walrus. Beautifully carved of what I believe is a green soapstone, with a polished, smooth surface, he's got incised round eyes and incised dots for whiskers, with wonderfully shaped front and back flippers. I especially love him from the top view, with his great elongated body seeming poised and ready to take off swimming! The seal is
