Nice example of a Venetian bead that was altered in Africa and has been worn continually as part of a large necklace for hundreds of years

Off-White Antique Czech Disc Beads 1700's brought to melting point and24" strand of large matte off white, slightly grayish disc shape, 10mm diameter x 1. 5mm, about 190 beads on the strand. 2mm hole. Czech made from the 1930's and traded in West Africa. This strand is in excellent condition, a useful design element.
