I believe every other facet on the long sides of the vase is exposed glass that has been frosted

The box measures 10 7/8" wide x 8 7/8" deep x 6 3/8" tall

he's in generally good condition and structurally very sound with a bit of dryness/light cracking to the wood of his feet

It measures 6" tall x 2 3/8" wide x 3/16" deep without the string hanging loop

or with either or both larger diamond shaped layers underneath--one black with silver stripes

Hand-Hammered Lidded Round Tin Cooking and Serving Dish golden wheat I believe every other facetI think this lidded bowl is truly a gorgeous object, with a wonderful form and fantastic patina from age and use. I've found a few online with the same shape and structure, either clearly made of copper or described as tinned copper. I am not certain but it looks to me like this one is simply tin; either way, the metal is definitely hand hammered, and the irregularities make it really beautiful. I believe this would have been used for cooking as well
