all braided into an ornate knot with silver aluminum bullion wires embroidered into the braiding in a chevron formation
with numerous numerical calculations and entries
with three olive green webbed straps stitched in place to the body of the helmet in the dome in six locations
Saxony, Kingdom. A 1918 Saxe-Meiningen First War Service Medal GTRexclude thought to be a prisoner(Kriegsverdienstmedaille). Constructed of coppered bronze, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39 mm in diameter, in overall better than very fine condition.
