Cutters, Team Penners, Trail Riders, Reiners, and Barrel Racers have used this bit on horses with good mouths that don't need excessive control. The three piece snaffle is a very nice mouth and has more control than a two piece snaffle. Also adds some tongue pressure to help set horse's head.
