Obverse shows gilded initials of King George V, 52. 5 mm (h) x 63 mm (w), screws missing on reverse, very fine condition. Footnote: From Fort Erie, Can. Having served in Pictons famous division in the Peninsular War, the 5th was with the army in the south of France. It arrived at Quebec from Bordeaux, in July, 1814, a part of some 16,000 of Wellingtons veterans sent to America. It was at the battle of Plattsburg, Sept 11, 1814, and
