Constructed of patinated bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse bearing a central raised date of 1914, topped by a crowned monogram of Duke Carl Eduard, situated above a laurel branch, the reverse bearing a central raised Saxe Coburg and Gotha coat of arms, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 29. 44 mm (w) x 29. 55 mm (h), weighing 7. 3 grams, in
