A Scarce Prussian Red Cross Medal 1St Class 1898-1921 certificate_of_authenticity MARE NEGRUMedal (in shape of the cross) in silver, silver gilt and enamels, 46. 28mm x 46. 2mm, it weighs 15. 4 grams, pin back, frame of the cross in silver, while the crown and reverse are in silver gilt, as it should be; unmarked, in extremely fine condition and very scarce. An excellent example. Footnote: although in the shape of the cross, the official name of this award is Rote Kreuz Medaille 1. Klasse. (Red Cross Medal 1st class).
