A pointed Cross with crossed swords through the center of the award, constructed of silver and multi coloured enamels, the obverse with a central red medallion bearing the monogram of its founder, Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, surrounded by a ring of green enamels inscribed , the reverse with a central red enameled medallion bearing a silvered rampant crowned lion, surrounded by a ring of green enamels inscribed 2 1891,
