(1938 1945 issue). Constructed of blackened bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with pinback, the obverse bearing central raised Sig runes, situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central number 4, overlaid by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS), unmarked but demonstrating the
