A Scarce Wehrmacht Alpine Leader Badge By Deschler United Republic of clutching onto an oak wreathA fine example of a worn but well preserved Heeresbergfhrer Abzeichen; in gilt tombac with white and green enamels; the obverse with an Edelwei flower riveted to the reverse, but slightly loose; vertical pinback; maker marked Deschler & Sohn, Mnchen 9 on the reverse; measuring 42. 81 mm (w) x 42. 78 mm (h); weighing 32. 2 grams; a lightly worn example, with light contact marks on the badge; in overall extremely fine condition.
