Well Rowed All! up a creek without a paddle Masetti won the Rome Grand'Well Rowed All!', 1869. This cartoon refers to the development of a 'special relationship' between Britain and the United States. In August 1969, the Boat Race featured a match between teams from the Universities of Oxford and Harvard. Oxford triumphed by nearly two lengths.
