An Army Air Pilot's Qualification Badge, No. 34289, C.1918 Auction obverse engraver marked "MORLON"A rare WWI French Pilot's Badge in silver, consisting of two gilded wings superimposed on a silver laurel wreath, surmounted by a five pointed star in gilt, plain reverse with two catches, numbered 34289, measuring 55. 07 mm (w) x 40. 82 mm (h), light contact and surface wear, very fine. Footnote: Likely WW1 French Pilot wing badge awarded to Americans who received their training in France.
