Constructed of gilded tombak and blue enamels, the obverse consisting of a pair of blue enamelled wings with feathering highlighted in gilt, joined together at the centre by a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked C. E. Juncker, Berlin on the reverse, measuring 80. 2 mm (w) x 12. 7 mm (l), weighing 15. 00 grams, with only miniscule contact marks
