Before this was a fixed "OPEN" design that was cumbersome at times and very expensive to ship
they are the most perfect and economical way to remove debris from the sewer
Underneath the grates are covered by 3/8” strong plexiglass that keeps sewer spay down below
Eventually these will wear out but not after you have cut miles and miles of roots
