Affixed to the exterior of the crown is a T shaped bronze frame, secured in place with nine protruding rivets. Emanating from the frame is an ornate raised comb of identical construction, flanked on each side by raised and finely detailed laurel branches. Affixed to the peak of the helmet is a bronze Fire Brigade
