Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of F. W. Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, measuring 62. 47 mm (w) x 53. 58 mm (h), weighing 9. 9
