International. A Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, Grand Cross Set Republic of Instituted August 1940(Ordo Militaris et Hospitalis Sancti Lazari Hierosolymitani). Instituted in 1434. In bronze gilt with green and white enamels, featuring a Maltese cross with ball finials, the obverse medallion with inscription ATAVIS ET ARMIS, suspended from a trophy of arm suspension with green enamels reverse bearing a loop and suspension ring , measures 57. 4 mm (w) x 117 mm (h), weighs 43. 7 grams, enamels intact, areas of gilt wear and oxidation, extremely fine.
