Italy, Sardinia, Kingdom. A Civil Order of Savoy, Knight visually-hidden Crossguard is brass(Ordine Civile di Savoia). Instituted in 1831. In silver gilt, with light blue and white enamels, illustrating the interlocking monogram letters "CA" (Charles Albert) on the obverse centrepiece, the reverse centrepiece inscribed "AL MERITO CIVILE 1851", measuring 37. 5 mm (w) x 41. 1 mm (h), replacement ribbon, light wear, central medallion slightly loose, near very fine.
