A Rare War Of 1812 Infantry Shoulder Belt Plate Archive A second war German KriegsverdienstkreuzNorth American made, in bronze, consisting of an oval plate, the obverse bearing an etched monogram of King George III, the reverse with a tongue clip and dual studs for attachment to a belt, unmarked but a variation manufactured from approximately 1800 until 1820, measuring 55 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), a ground dug example in very fine condition.
