Senegal, Republic. An Order Of The Lion, Grand Cross Set By Bacqueville, C.1970 United Republic of marked “Bronze” on the rim(Orden Nacional del Len de Senegal). Instituted in 1960. A lovely set, the grand cross consisting of a white enamelled five point star with ball finials and five smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features a standing lion with star in the distances surrounded by a red enamelled ring inscribed REPUBLIQUE DU SENEGAL UN PEUPLE UN BUT UNE FOI (Republic of Senegal One People One Goal One Faith), the reverse is plain with an enamelled
