Constructed of die stamped aluminum, the obverse consisting of a semi circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a pebbled background, the reverse with two lugs bearing period original nuts and washers, maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lck, Ldenscheid, measuring 155 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), minor loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
