Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, by Friedrich Linden Republic of a grey glazed porcelain cup(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of nickel silver and tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivet securing the eagle to the obverse, with a narrow block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a Type 2a badge
