British battleship HMS Malaya in a floating dock, Malta Finish:none View of a harbour withBritish battleship HMS 'Malaya' in a floating dock, Malta, c1937. HMS 'Malaya' entered service with the Royal Navy in 1916, sustaining heavy damage at the Battle of Jutland later that year. During the Second World War she served predominantly in the Mediterranean, often on convoy escort duty. 'Malaya' was withdrawn from service in 1944 and was scrapped four years later.
