Spain, Civil War Period. A Republican Air Force Pilot Badge, C. 1936 certificate_of_authenticity with a black enameled field(Fuerzas Areas de la Repblica Espaola 1936 1939). Two piece construction, the propeller in silver gilt and mounted to wings base in silver with red enamels, marked with the partially obscured silver purity mark and marked with a hexagon indicating manufacture in Spain, the hexagon bearing the assay office code "GR" (Granada), measuring 71 mm (w) x 17. 5 mm (h), traces of gilt remains on the propeller, very light contact overall, near extremely fine.
