Germany, Wehrmacht. A Tropical Field Gun Barrel Cover consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac residue evident in the recessed(Feldkanone Fassabdeckung). An unissued Wehrmacht tropical field gun barrel cover, constructed of an olive drab cotton based canvas cylinder, with the tip completing in a khaki tan twill cover, the rim with a hollow channel through which is looped a grey cotton drawstring emanating from both ends to tie together for a secure fixture to the barrel, unmarked, measuring 260 mm (w) x 600 mm (l) when folded flat, in near mint condition.
