Description
During the Great War he was further advanced to Colonel in 1916 and Brigadier-General in 1917
He was placed in charge of training troops in Physical Education and Self Defence
as part of Major General Graf von Kielmannsegge's 1st Hanoverian Brigade Von Reden and his men occupied the wood that screened Hougoumont's buildings from artillery fire from the south
He died in Belgrade in 1960 and was buried in the New Cemetery
due to their notoriously unpleasant conditions
