Constructed of silver, on a double loop suspension with a chain and period original tri colour neck string, consisting of a shield bearing an etched inscription of EINIGKEIT MACHT STARK VATERLANDSLIEBE UNBERWINDLICH (UNITY MAKES STRONG PATRIOTISM INSURMOUNTABLE), with a dedication from the Berka Riflemens Company to F. W. Kruse of Saalborn and a date of 1847, the reverse with a silver Lot mark of 13 for a content of 812, a
