Constructed of a silvered bronze alloy, the exterior lid bearing an etched War Merit Cross with Swords, above an inscription of NARWA FRONT 44, opening with a functional hinge to reveal a plain interior, unmarked, measuring 105 mm (w) x 85 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident.
