Constructed of silvered magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a mobile swastika overlaid by a sword, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, maker marked W. REDO, SAARLAUTERN, measuring 46. 70 mm (w) x 58. 82 mm (h), weighing 17. 6 grams, a Type III badge in extremely fine condition.
