A Board Cap for Enlisted Rank to a U-Boat Sailor consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 3 mm x 54 mm(Kriegsmarine dunkelblaues Schiffchen fr Mannschaften). An extremely well preserved Kriegsmarine board cap for Enlisted ranks, constructed of dark blue wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls which gently scallop toward the front. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark blue rayon backer bearing a machine embroidered golden yellow Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 60 mm (w) x 25 mm
