Badge comes with a large photocopied research file, showing recipient as Paul Brandner, NSDAP Nr. # 53269, SS Ausweiss Nr. 49328; he was born in Neudek (also known as Nejdek), in 1902; joined NSDAP in 1927, and Allgemeine SS in 1932; promoted to SS Untersturmfhrer
