Two First War Awards Auction This particular buckle is illustratedAustria, Empire: Cross of the Austrian Legion of Honour 1914 1918 (in bronze gilt, maker marked with the interlocking initials "DS" on the reverse, measuring 41. 5 mm (w) x 40. 8 mm (h), crossed bronze gilt swords on its original ribbon); and Hungary, Kingdom: First War Commemorative Medal for Combatants 1914 1918 (in silvered bronze, measuring 37 mm in diameter, original triangular combatant's ribbon with hook and eye). Contact marks, very fine.
