In silver with red and blue enamels, measuring 41 mm (w) x 56. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its star and wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Military Merit was instituted on October 18, 1950. It was awarded to military personnel, for outstanding conduct during wartime or in a state of emergency, originally in four classes, which was later changed
