It is found in mixed mesic and wet forests on the island of Molokai. It reaches a height of 24m and normally grows in gulches and on cliffs. It sports fabulous large round leaves that are separated only at the margins and with a slightly weeping habit. Beautiful. It was named in 1918 for Cherilla Storrs Lowrey (18611918), an
