Set of 8 French c. 1900 Microscope Slides with Insect Specimens final sign 5" tall x 3It seems beautiful glass microscope slides are finding me lately and these antique French ones with handwritten specimen descriptions on lithographed paper labels I think are just so lovely. Silkworm and foot of a caterpillar happily need no translation, and then there appears to be the scale of a sole (fish I assume) and mouth of a ?, and something human! (perhaps your deciphering skills will be better than mine!) All of the specimens are visible
