Large Mexican Ex Voto Retablo Painting on Tin Dated 1872 antique drawing of birds Pewter Co cI've been continuing to keep an eye out for old ex voto retablo, and find myself most attracted to the sparer among them, the older the better, like this great large one on tin dating to 1872. Along the bottom the text detailing the healing of the bed ridden figure at left is largely faded, but the alligatored creamy white paint that remains is gorgeous, and one can still make out the year.
