The wide lip and interior are glazed a dark blue-black

or the fringe on top could be wrapped around a dowel and stitched lightly to the back of the textile to hang it on the wall

I've seen a fair number of these sorts of hand-painted enameled porcelain plates with pewter rims and bottoms

Balancing Teeter Totter Dogs black pottery vase 8 1/8" long x 6"I not sure what these little creatures, cast brass dogs I believe, once teeter tottered on, but I thought they were worthy of rescuing from a pile at the flea market, as they can certainly balance in all sorts of places, and they look pretty joyful doing so! 7 1 2" long; dogs are 1 1 2" tall.
