A Street Scene, Arthur Elwain's Marvelously Expressive School Watercolor checkerboard mochaware quite a characterOne of my very favorites from a batch of watercolors I found a year or two ago, this one the hardest to part with. For a while it seemed to me all of them were done by the same person but now I think done by different students in the same class, who were given the same format and the same (wonderfully unusual) watercolor palette to work with. This one, captioned "A Street Scene" feels like a show down in the wild west but no guns, just a face off
