Akalees (Indian warriors) mb-code 1239572 a National Monument obelisk the'Akalees', (Indian warriors), 1844. Bearded Indian men in traditional costume with curl toed shoes, rings round their necks and elaborate headdresses. Two of the men hold decorated rifles. The Akalees were a group of fierce Indian soldiers, their name derived from the god Akal.
