Good vintage condition but I'd guess he was carved some time ago--there is a bit of aging and darkening to wood around the edges and in a few other spots

down to the the tassels and loops hanging from the shades in the bay windows of the house

Fabulous Green Painted Hybrid Creature (Part Boar Part Dinosaur?!) hand-forged blade Apologies for the crummy photosI really love this thing, including especially, really! for the fact that I'm not quite sure what it is meant to be, looking somewhat like a boar, but with a very dinosaur esque tail, and also making me think of a rhinoceros though of course its forest green ness makes it really none of the above! I like to imagine its carver made it for a child or grandchild, perhaps along with a whole menagerie of other creatures, which, if so, I would sure love to
