The painting has not been touched

and a super useful one

and a few are now held on with old pins rather than stitches

where it looks like a man or woman is minding his dog or big chicken

I don't know much at all about it, which I purchased from a dealer with many wonderful and eclectic things, who thought it European, but didn't know much more than that. I would guess the figure represents a saint of some sort, seated and with hands clasped before him, with remnants of paint still covering parts of his body, and layers of color
