7 7/8" l x 4" tall

I believe the wood is pine

I am fairly certain is Navajo based on other examples out there of similarly constructed and painted owls and other animals

it's wonderfully decorated with of hundreds of tiny bits of wood

and worth having for the image of the pajama-ed figure at the center of the interior alone

Mid 20th century or so I would guess, oil on board, and to my eye just really a nice one to have hanging around. 20" x 16" and in great condition.
