These are from a group of wonderful old handmade animals I found this past weekend in New Hampshire (and splurged a bit on as I think they're pretty special)--I believe from a Noah's Ark set

There remains brass pin near the opening end which locks into the opposite side to hold it closed

I’d hang these vintage Japanese fans on the wall immediately to enjoy them as the gorgeous objects that they are all winter long—and to be reminded that summer will come again

Marvelous Prohibition Era Leather and Brass Book Shaped Flask with Shot Glasses and Funnel Alexander calder original to them but I'mQuite a thrill to find this one, which almost (but definitely not quite!) makes me wish alcohol was forbidden so that I might stealthily hide it inside this beautiful book shaped flask! The exterior is leather with brass corners, the top of which twists off to reveal a spout, and the bottom of which slides off to reveal three nested brass shot glasses plus a funnel inside! The bottom of the shot glasses is marked DRGM (Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchmuster)
