One of the things I really love about old wooden stools is that typically they've been put to hard use
I'd guess this old cutout wooden stork head was once attached to a body and lived in a yard or garden somewhere
Mid-late 19th century I believe
I might take them for a mother and child--with the mother in excellent blue suit and child in red necktie
