Description
crème de cassis and inky blue/purplish fruit give the 2014 much of its personality
with good tannins and a fresh
An overtly spicy and very fresh nose evidences markedly ripe aromas of primarily red berry fruit with stone
Juicy and expansive in the mouth
fresher and more elegant style that is impossible not to like
Jean-Marc Blain-Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot Blanc Vintage:2021 crème de cassis and inky(from Les Boirettes and Champ Jendreau). Pretty, and distinctly floral suffused aromas include those of citrus rind and white fleshed fruit. The very rich and generously proportioned middle weight flavors possess plenty of sappy dry extract before terminating in a powerful and borderline tannic bitter lemon inflected finish. This would also benefit from at least a few years of keeping.
