I found this one in New Bedford

showing the wood underneath (easily repaired) and there is a bit of loss of lacquer around the underside edge of the lid

with its head stretching forward as if just about to push off and glide in

which interlock to allow for even spacing between letters

I really love the framing of the photo, centered on the bird perched on the boy's curled hand, with the cropping of his face calling attention to the cock of his head, freckled cheeks and very dreamy eyes. 4 1 8 x 5 1 2 and in very good condition.
