Description
fermented in demi-muids (malolactic included) and bottled unfiltered in May 2009
(from two very large parcels of vines totaling over 3 ha)
There is good energy to the rich medium-bodied flavors that are naturally sweet despite the markedly lemony finish
Starting with the 2010 vintage
What struck me most
Antinori (Pian Vigne), Brunello Montalcino Vigna Ferrovia Riserva other_regions_italy fermented in demi-muids (malolactic included)Fantastic aromas of dark fruits, minerals, bark and fresh mushrooms follow through to a full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, long finish. Beautiful mouthfeel of velvety tannins. One of the greatest Brunellos ever made by Antinori. Drink or hold.
