Gorgeous Mid 19th Century New England Lathe Turned Round Dough/Bread Board with Marble-like Surface miniature painted houses which the four small holesWhen I spotted this one at an antiques show in MA last week, at first I thought it was made of marble (and a friend seeing it a few minutes later thought the same) always hard to feel things from photos, but the color on the wood is rather otherworldly, and the surface, though showing cut marks all over, is worn marble smooth. And the two sets of rings perfectly imperfect in their not exactly centered placement on the not quite a perfect circle board
